Founded in 1995 by Dr. Phillip Price, the center is led by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified bariatric surgeons who are pioneers in the field. Having collectively performed more than 3,500 procedures, our surgeons oversee a comprehensive process that guides patients from initial consultation through post op with care, compassion and excellent outcomes. In fact, those outcomes earned the center its designation as a Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
The Bariatric Center is an exclusive 10-bed unit located on the Mount Carmel West campus. The hospital features comfortable furnishings, equipment and even gowns to accommodate any obese patient. Our specialized staff and dedicated facilities ensure that our patients have every safeguard and advantage in achieving their best possible outcome.
That personalized, friendly care doesn’t end at the center door. With post-op support groups, and lifetime follow up, we go the distance to help our patients not only lose weight, but regain their health, control and confidence.
